Alan J. Rader, age 68, of Rockland Township, passed peacefully on Friday March 25 2022 at Reading Hospital, West Reading.. He was the life partner of Carol S. Strozyk.. Born in Reading to Neil M. Rader, Fleetwood and the late Joyce D. (Welder) Lenhart.

Alan graduated from Brandywine High School and Berks Career &Technology Center, Oley, where he became a welder. After school he was hired by the former Fegley & Hertzog Welding and Fabricating Boyer's Junction. He retired from S & W. Metals in Boyertown.. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He enjoyed going to his hunting camp in McKean County.

He is survived by his life partner Carol, father Neil and his step mother Janet A. Rader and brother Harold K. Rader husband of Christine E. (Townsend) Rader. Also nephews Matthew T. Rader and Andrew M. Rader.

A viewing will be held at the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood, on Friday April 1, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.  Burial will be in New Jerusalem Cemetery.
