Ardith A. Heckman, age 66, of Fleetwood, passed away on Thursday evening February 11, 2016 in her residence surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Frederick R. Heckman, they celebrated 40 years of marriage on October 11th.
Born in West Reading on November 21, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Ellis Weidner and Meada J. (Rauch) Weidner. Ardith had gone to Fleetwood High School. She attended Calvary Bible Fellowship Church in Sinking Springs.
Ardith loved sewing, some of her cross-stitch projects would last two years. She was an avid gardener. Her other joy was being surrounded by her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband Fred and daughter Dorene (Heckman) wife of Nathan Byler of Myerstown. Grandchildren Luke and Genevieve. Other survivors are a brother Ethan Weidner of Fleetwood and sister LaRue (Weidner) Hoffman of Blandon She was preceded in death by her brother
Marlowe Weidner and sister Dorothea Weidner.
A viewing will be Monday from 10 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. in the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood.
