Arlene H. Rothenberger

Arlene H. Rothenberger, age 91, formerly of Fleetwood, peacefully passed away at Laureldale Skilled Nursing Center on Friday, January 12, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert L. Rothenberger, who passed in 1986. Born in District Township, Berks County, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Heffner and Jennie (Hunter) Heffner.

Arlene was a proud graduate of Boyertown High School. She found joy in cooking PA Dutch recipes, playing games with her family, and exploring through travel.

Throughout her life, Arlene was an active member of the Red Hat Ladies of Blandon and the Senior Citizens of Blandon. She was also a devoted member of Huffs Union Church.

Arlene is survived by her children Kenneth M. Brunner, husband of Marlene Brunner of Boyertown, Debra K. (Brunner), wife of Roy Spuhler of Temple, Randall A. Brunner, husband of Kathleen Brunner of Fleetwood, John E. Brunner, and Diane L. (Brunner) Quaintance of Laureldale. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Additionally, her sister-in-law Sarah Heffner, widow of John Heffner.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Melvin Heffner, husband of Mable, Earl Heffner, husband of Arlene, Elva (Heffner) Betchel, wife of Jim, Meryl Heffner, and John Heffner.

Services will be private, with burial in Huffs Union Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Arlene's memory to the Jane Kuknlka Scholarship Fund c/o Huffs Union Church, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis, PA 18011.
