Barry L. Henry, 79, of Centre Township, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, in Penn State Health St. Joseph's, Bern Township, Pennsylvania.
Barry was born September 2, 1945, in Maidencreek Township to the late Norman and Fern (Barlet) Henry. A devoted husband, he and his beloved wife, Linda G. (DeLong) Henry, shared 58 joyful years together, celebrating their most recent anniversary last November. Barry built a distinguished career over 42 years—27 years with Quaker Maid Kitchens, Inc., followed by 15 years with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, from which he retired in 2011.
An avid outdoorsman, Barry found his greatest joy fishing and hunting, whether locally or on memorable trips to Canada and Newfoundland. He was a proud member of the Shartlesville Fish & Game Association and a member at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fleetwood. He and Linda also treasured vacations at Disney.
In addition to his wife, Barry is survived by his sister, Linda S. (Henry) Schappel, also nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth N. Henry.
Private funeral services will be held, and Barry will be laid to rest at St. Paul's Union Cemetery, Fleetwood, PA. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Barry to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 117 East Arch Street, Fleetwood, PA 19522.
