Betty V. Long, age 88, of Fleetwood, passed peacefully on Sunday August 29, 2021 at her residence. She was the widow of James A. Long who passed on March 6, 1998.

Betty was born in Rockland Township, and was the daughter of the late Daniel B. Weidner and Carrie B. (Ruppert) Weidner.

She loved to play bingo, bowling and watching NASCAR. At a race she got to meet Dale Earhart, Jr.. Being with family and taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren meant everything to her..

Surviving are her children Glenn R. long husband of Janice long of Kutztown; Deborah F. (long) wife of Larry Himmelreich of Reading and Faye A. (Long) wife of William Hiltebeitel of Blandon.  Also surviving are her grandchildren Michael Long, Stephen Shenk and Derek Shenk. Great grandchildren Arianna Templeton and Sophie Shenk. Also her long time companion Richard Heller of Fleetwood.

Betty was predeceased by her sisters Anna Mae (Weidner) Wahl and Dorothy P. (Weidner) Hilbert

A viewing will be Friday September 3 ^rd from 10:00AM to 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM at the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc. 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood, PA. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in memory of Betty to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
