Betty M. Matthew, age 89, of Fleetwood, passed away on Tuesday December 25, 2018 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Born in Topton, the daughter of the late Lester Hilbert and Alice M. (Hertzog) Hilbert.

Betty was a  graduate of Topton High School.

For many years she worked at area clothing manufacturing companies. She was last employed by Tarsus, Inc. Fleetwood.

Betty is survived by her two daughters Donna R. Matthew, Ft. Myers, Florida and Diane M. Matthew, Reading. Also grandson Barry D. Matthew husband of Shawn Matthew and great granddaughter Madison G. Matthew.

Other survivors are her siblings Helen (Hilbert) widow of Wayne Kunkelman, Topton; Florabelle (Hilbert) widow of Milton Christman, Muhlenberg; Fern (Hilbert) widow of Joel Readinger, Oley; Shirley (Hilbert) widow of George Ream, Kutztown; Marlene (Hilbert) wife of Nicholas Diachynski, Barto; Patricia (Hilbert) widow of Gary Roth, Fleetwood; Clarence Hilbert husband of Patricia Hilbert, Macungie; Melvin Hilbert widower of Judy Hilbert, Stevens and Harold Hilbert widower of Judy Hilbert, Topton.

Betty was preceded in death by her siblings Edna (Hilbert) Weiser, Carrie (Hilbert) Rohrbach, Joyce (Hilbert) Eisinhard, Gladys (Hilbert) Grim, and Lester Hilbert.

A visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon December 30 ^th from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. A Memorial service will follow at 2:30 p.m..  Inurnment will be in Hope Cemetery, Dryville
