Betty Lee Sprague Olinger, age 87 of Ephrata formerly of Fleetwood, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in her residence. She was the wife of Lloyd D. Olinger and the late of Bernarr M. Sprague who passed in 1986.
Born October 2, 1927, in Ithaca, NY she was the last surviving sibling born to Frank S. Baker and Mabel L. Kouf Baker.
She was a 1945 graduate of Easton High School and a 1949 graduate of Allentown School of Nursing. She worked as a maturity nurse for the former Community General Hospital, Reading for many years followed by a lab technician at Garden State Tannery in Fleetwood. Retiring in 1992 from The Lutheran Home in Topton after 23 years.
Betty was a member of Fleetwood Bible Church and a charter member of United Church of Christ at the Villages, FL
Her interest were doing crafts which included needle point and crocheting.
Betty is survived by Lloyd D. Olinger, daughters Cynthia L. (Olinger) Raymond of Boyertown, Lynn M. (Olinger) Mertz of Fleetwood; son Kevin D. Olinger husband of Rayetta (Houck) Olinger of Fleetwood.
Also surviving are grandchildren Tiffany, Rosten, Philip, Raynelle, Janese, Racine and Ryan. There are eleven great-grandchildren
She was predeceased by her grandson Kevin D. (Turk) Olinger and sisters Joan (Baker) Pepper and Lowana (Baker) Seibel.
A viewing will be held at Fleetwood Bible Church, 2847 Moselem Church Road, Fleetwood onTuesday May 26th from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. followed by funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Molltown
