Miller
February 17, 1930 – December 10, 2022
Bobbie D. Miller, age 92, formerly of Blandon, passed away on Saturday December10, 2022 at his daughter caregiver, Lois's residence after a courageous battle with cancer and kidney diasease. Born in Reading, Bobbie was the son of the late Milton and Annie (Price) Miller. In 1952 Bobbie married the late Shirley (Rentschler) who passed away on October 7, 1987. In 1991 he married the late Janet (Paulsgrove) Burns Miller, who passed on March 18, 2019.
Bobbie worked for the late Harry Knittle, as a mechanic repairing the tractors of many local farmers. He then was hired by W. E. Yoder, Inc., as a shop foreman, working there until his retirement.
Hunting was a sport Bobbie loved. He always looked forward to spending time in Sullivan County with the guys from Berks County Hunting Club. He also enjoyed trapshooting and volunteering at Fleetwood, Leesport, Perry, Lenhartsville, Shartlesville and Boyertown gun clubs. In April of this year he was recognized as possibly America's oldest scorekeeper which he was so proud of. Bobbie always kept Friday's open so he could attend Clarence Shirk's Sales. There you could find him helping and also buying a piece or two of carnival glass, which he enjoyed collecting.
Surviving are three daughters, Lois A. (Miller) widow of James Reistroffer, Donna L. (Miller) wife of Drew Strohm and Sandra K. (Miller) wife of Richard Kohler. There are four grandchildren, one step-grandson, six great grandchildren and two great –great grandsons. Other survivors are Bobbie's step children C. Robert Burns, Jr. husband of Sara Burns, and Susan wife of Lester Lepako. There are three step-grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his brothers Lloyd Miller and Charles Miller, a sister Ada (Miller) Kelchner and a stepbrother Lawrence Miller.
