Obituary

Clair D. Becker,  88  formerly of Blandon, passed away in Berks County Home Berks Heim on Tuesday, December 25, 2018. He was the husband of the late Shirley A. (Miller) Becker who passed in 2005.

Born in Blandon he was the son of the late Calvin Becker and Naomi (Stufflet) Becker.

Clair was a U .S. Army veteran, of the Korean War who served his country for thirty years, After the service he worked at the former  Orr & Sandbar Co. for 18 years and Maiers Bakery, Reading for another 18 Years. For a while he was one of twelve employee's at East Penn Manufacturing.  He loved golfing ,bowling, trips to casino's and a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles  and the Phillies baseball team. Clair loved his family and friends, spending time with them was a priority. Celebrating birthday's at Shady Maple and going to the Chinese Buffet.  Being with his lifelong friend's Gene and Mary Bossler and their family. Clair was member of many social clubs around Berks County including the: Fleetwood Legion, Lyons Fire Company, Pikeville Rod & Gun Club, and the Blandon Lyons Club. He was also a part time paramedic with the Blandon Fire Company Ambulance

Clair is survived by his daughter Doreen K. (Becker) Rauenzahn of Temple; step -grandson Barry Rauenzahn, Pittsburgh and step - granddaughter Crystal Rauenzahn, Wyomissing; four great granddaughter and one great grandson. Other survivors include a brother Russell Becker husband of Dolores Becker, of Shillington. Sister in laws Joan Stout, Sandra Linkey, Ella Becker and brother in-law Donald Miller husband of Patricia Miller and families. Along with his furry friend Ollie.

Clair was preceded in death by his wife Shirley, thirteen sibling's  and son in-law Barry L. Rauenzahn

The family would like acknowledge the compassionate care that was given by the staff at Berks Heim.

A viewing will be on Wednesday morning January 2 nd from 10:00 AM to11:30 AM followed by a funeral services at 11:30 A.M. from the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. Officiating will be Chaplin Clark Bossler . Burial will be Wednesday in Berks County Memorial Gardens with mi9litary honors.
