Daniel D. Houck, age 75, of Fleetwood, passed away on Monday February 26, 2018 in his residence. He was the husband of Carol L. (Emerich) Houck who passed on September 19, 2013.
Born on January 2,1943, in Richmond Township. He was the son of the late Charles Houck and Maud H. (Readinger) Houck
Daniel was a graduate of Oley Valley High School.
He worked as a machinist at Houck Machine Co. Inc., Fleetwood where he worked with his five brothers. In recent years he ran his own business D D Houck, Fleetwood. Daniel had to stay busy, work was his hobby and a potato crop was planted annually in the fields on his property.
Survived by his daughters : Jackie A. (Houck) Keller of Exeter Township and Kathie A. (Houck) Weber of Virginia Beach, VA. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Casey Keller, Jeremy Pfleger, Josh Pfleger and Andrew Weber, and one great grandson, Hayden Pfleger and one step great granddaughter Amber Boyer.
Other survivors include a sister Hanna (Houck) Himmelreich, Fleetwood.
He was preceded in death by his sister Minnie (Houck) Noll Weidner and brothers Edwin Houck, Raymond Houck, Elmer Houck, Charles Houck and William Houck.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00PM from St. Paul's Union Cemetery, Park Road, Fleetwood. Contributions can be made to either the Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508 or the Humane Society of Berks County, 1801 North 11 th Street, Reading, PA 19601.
