Darryl L. Witwer, Sr, age 70, of Fleetwood, passed away in his residence on Wednesday July 20, 2022.  He was the husband of Bonnie L. (Herbein) Witwer, they celebrated 50 years of marriage on June 10 ^th . Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Richard C. Witwer, Sr. and Alice S. (Killian) Witwer.

Darryl had worked at Can Corp, Temple for over 30 years and retired in 2015.

Darryl was known for his telling jokes and kidding around. He had many interests from old cars and tractor collecting, going to auctions. He loved watching NASCAR and going hunting.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie and sons Bradley R. Witwer husband of Amber E. Witwer of Pottsville and Darryl L Witwer, Jr. husband of Susan J. (Willman) Witwer of St. Clair. Also seven grand children Brianna M. Padilla, Katelynn J. Cruz, Cassedy S. Acosta, Dylan L. Witwer, Ethan R. Witwer, Airianna N.. Witwer and Alyse B. Witwer and six great grandchildren. Other survivors are his brothers Richard C. Witwer, Jr. and  Todd W. Witwer.

A viewing will be Monday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Darryl's memory to the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
