David L. Boone, 89, of Fleetwood, peacefully passed away on Sunday September 15, 2024, at the Lutheran Home At Topton. He was the husband of the late Mary Ann (Kniss) Boone, who passed in 2018. David was born in Bowers, the son of the late Earl W. Boone and Elda Y. (Breidegam) Boone.

A 1953 graduate of Kutztown Area High School. He was a U S Army veteran. David worked in the water treatment department at Carpenter Technology, Reading retiring after more than twenty years.

David's favorite things were being outdoors hunting, gardening or just sitting on the patio. He also loved cooking and doing word search puzzles. Most of all he loved being with family.

He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Fleetwood where he was a past consistory member. He also belonged to  Huguenot Lodge #377 F&AM, Kutztown.

Survived by his two sons Barry L. Boone, of Reading and Randy L. Boone, of Kunkletown, Pa. Also grandchildren Brett Boone, Wernersville; Heather Boone, Reading; Lauren Boone, Ephrata; Corey Boone, Wernersville and Cherrish Cunningham, Rapid City, S.D. Also one great granddaughter Ivy Moore.

David was p     A viewing will be Thursday September 19th from 10:00AM to 11:00AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM from the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc. 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Dryville.
