David Wilmont Chandler

David Wilmont Chandler, 90, of Oley, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2026. Born on October 13, 1935, in New York State, he was the son of George and Mildred Chandler.

David earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University. He served as an engineer at Three Mile Island and the Gulf Oil Company.

He shared 52 years of marriage with his wife, Shirley A. Chandler, of Oley, Pennsylvania. He was also a dedicated member of the Reading Harmonic Orchestra, where he performed as a violinist.

David is survived by his wife, Shirley A. Chandler, of Oley, Pennsylvania; his daughter, Kitty Reed, and son-in-law, John Reed, of Colorado; his brother, Garrie Chandler, of Florida; and his grandchildren, Austin Reed and Gylan Reed, of Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM, both to be held at Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood, Pennsylvania 19522. Interment will follow at Friedens Cemetery, 337 Main Street, Oley, Pennsylvania 19547.
