David A. Heller, Sr., age 88, of Fleetwood, passed away on January 22, 2016 in his residence. He was the husband of Ruth A. (Reinhart) Heller with whom he celebrated 62 years of marriage.
Born on November 30, 1927 in Reading, the son of the late Ralph Heller, Sr. and Helen (Wade) Heller.
He was a graduate of Shillington High School. After high School he went radio school in Baltimore.
David was a U S Army veteran of World War II.
He had worked for Western Electric, Reading and was part of the Telstar satellite project. He then started his own business David A. Heller Plumbing, Heating and Electric, Fleetwood for over 50 years. He was always assisted by his son Davey.
David was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship Church, Reading. Prior he was a member of Faith Bible Fellowship Church in Fleetwood where he served as a deacon and
elder. He also was a Sunday School Teacher and driver for the church bus.
David loved to tinker and do crossword puzzles.
David is survived by his wife Ruth and daughter, Sandra L. (Heller) wife Timothy G. Faust of Fleetwood and son David A. Heller, Jr., Fleetwood. Also two grandchildren, Daniel A. Faust, Michael E. Faust and one great granddaughter Grace Elizabeth Faust.
Other survivors include a sister Janet (Heller) Lash of Temple
He was preceded in death by his brother Ralph W. Heller.
