Dawn Mae Niedzielski, or Ski as she was sometimes called by friends, 84, of Blandon, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA.
Born on July 30, 1940, in Philadelphia, PA, Dawn was the daughter of the late Dorothy Spangler and the late Joseph Niedzielski.. She graduated from high school in York, PA, and proudly served her country as a member of the United States Army.
Dawn worked as a steel worker at Dana Corporation for 30 years and was a proud member of the United Steel Workers Union. She had a zest for life and enjoyed many passions, including golfing, traveling to destinations such as New Orleans, Copenhagen, and Hawaii, and cherishing the time spent with her friends. Dawn shared a special bond with her beloved Yorkie, Bentley.
She is survived by her spouse of many years, Christine J. Hinkle of Blandon, PA; her brother, Robert Niedzielski of York, PA; and her cherished niece, Karen Uffelman, and her husband, Tom Uffelman, of Spring Grove, PA. Dawn will also be fondly remembered by her great-niece, Adeline Buzynski, and her husband, Tim Buzynski, of Philadelphia, PA; her great-nephew, Westley Uffelman wife Stephanie Uffelman and their 4 children, of Houston, TX; and her great-nephew, Tanner Uffelman of Hanover, PA. Other survivors are sister-in-law Mamie Klinger and her partner Randy and brother-in-law Fred Hinkle. She will be missed by Mamie's children Brittney Gruver and Scott Klinger and Fred's daughter Sheila Hinkle and her partner Rick. Also Brittany's family including her husband Shawn and their children Owen and Carson and Scotts family including fiancé Brittany and daughter Aurora. Dawn was predeceased by her brother Joseph Niedzielski and is survived by his wife Belle Niedzielski of Campbellsville, KY.
A viewing will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 AM on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 W. Main Street, Fleetwood, PA 19522. Burial will follow at Berks County Memorial Gardens, 201 Evansville Rd., Fleetwood, PA 19522.
