Dennis G. Schlegel, age 72, of Reading, passed away on Friday October 22, 2021 in Reading Hospital.

Born in Reading, the son of the late Clarence R. Schlegel and Perma G. (Acker) Schlegel.

Dennis was a graduate of Oley Valley High School class of 1968.  Dennis was a U S Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked at Carpenter Technology Corporation, Reading retiring after 27 years in 2011.  Previously he had worked at the former Rockwell Foundry, Reading. He enjoyed hunting for deer and turkey and going four wheeling.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Reading.

Dennis is survived by his brother Richard A. Schlegel of Temple and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parent's and brother Donald C. Schlegel and sister Geraldine (Schlegel) Bohn.

A funeral service will be held Thursday October 28th at 11:00 AM at the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc. 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. A viewing will be held Thursday morning 10:00AM  to 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Pricetown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Dennis's memory to a charity of your choice.
