Dianne L. Gift Gabel, age 62, of Bechtelsville, passed away on Saturday January 14, 2012 in her residence. The wife of Dennis J. Gabel, celebrated seven years of marriage on October 16th.
Born in Reading she was the daughter of the late Clyde A. Gift and Marian Gehert Gift.
Diane graduated from Fleetwood High School class of 1966.
She was a member of Becker's St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Molltown. Other memberships included the Virginville Grange and the Humane Society of Berks County.
Dianne had worked for Campbells Mushroom Farm, Leesport, Penn Dutch Cookies, Fleetwood; Jetson Direct Mail, Hamburg and Walmart.
Dianne was a very supportive and devoted grandmother. Her interest included crotcheting blankets, cooking old recipes and canning. A real dog lover she had many over the years and will be missed by her yorkie Rosie.
Survivors are her husband Dennis, son's Bradd A. Colvin, Reading and Troy A. Colvin Sr. and his fiancé Jeannie Hafer of Leesport. Her grandchildren Troy A. Colvin, Jr. and Madison A. Colvin. Also a great grandchild Valarie Murphy and godchildren Patty Hauser and Beverly Hauser. Three stepsons Jeffrey S. Gabel husband of Amber Gabel of Bechtelsville; Jonathan Gabel husband of Shelby L. Gabel of Leesport and Matthew D. Gabel of Huffs Church. Two step grandchildren Mason J. Gabel and Colin J. Gabel.
Other survivors include three sisters; Dawn L. (Gift) Schlenker , Shoemakersville; Faye L. (Gift) wife of Lester P. Henry, Shoemakersville and Brenda M. (Gift) Schaeffer companion of Charles Lutz, Fleetwood.
Services will be Saturday at 11:00 AM from Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. A viewing will be Saturday from 9:00 AM to time of service. Burial will be in Becker's St. Peter's Cemetery, Molltown.
