Donald M. Folk, age 84 formerly of Fleetwood passed Tuesday October 10, 2017 in Berks County Home-Berks Heim.

Born in Fleetwood on December 20, 1932, he was a son of the late Sarah C. Folk.

Donald was a graduate of Fleetwood High School class of 1950. He  was a U S Army Korean War veteran who served in the 229 ^th Signal Corps. After the service in 1955 he attended the Western Union School in Washington, NJ.

Donald loved music and played trumpet and drums for the Temple Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps and the Fleetwood Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps.

He worked most of his life as a sales representative for the Sherwin Williams Company, Reading for thirty-three and a half years retiring in 1993.

Donald played rec league baseball and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.

He is survived by his two daughters, Linette Ann (Folk) wife of Thomas J. Canto of Temple and Sherry L. Folk of Laureldale. Also surviving are his grandsons Thomas J. Canto, Jr. husband of Amanda Canto, Sean Canto husband of Carrissa Canto and granddaughters Alycia A. Canto, Tina (Canto) wife of Jeff Smith. Also three great grandchildren Mackenzie Canto, Allesandra Canto and Camdyn Smith.

Donald's family would like to thank the staff at Berks Heim and Heartland Hospice for the special care and love they gave to him.

A celebration of Donald's Life will be held at Giannotti's Country Manor, 3118 Pricetown Road on Saturday October 28 ^th at 1:00 PM. Inurnment will be at a later date in St. Paul's Union Cemetery, Fleetwood. Contributions can be made in Donald's memory to the American Stroke Association, 5455 N. High Street, Columbus, OH 43214
