Donald G. Keim, age 74 of Blandon, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011 in the Reading Hospital Medical Center. Husband of Barbara A. (Kershner) Keim.
He was born December 4, 1936 in Blandon the son of the late Samuel W. Keim and Esther R. (Kline) Keim.
Donald served in the U S Army during the Korean War.
He had worked at the former Quaker Maid Kitchens for forty years and for the Fleetwood Area School District retiring in 1998.
Donald was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ Fleetwood. He was a past President of Blandon Fire Company and a past director of the Blandon Fire Co. Relief Association. For several years he was in charge of the fire companies fish rodeo.
He also was a former member of the Maidencreek Twp. Water and Sewer Authority.
Donald's interest where fishing, hunting and gardening.
He is survived by his wife Barbara and daughter Lori J. Keim of Blandon. Sister Janet F. (Keim) Williams of Tuckerton and Barbara A. (Keim) Faust, and a brother Dennis R. Keim, both of Fleetwood. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be Saturday August 13th at 11:00AM from the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. Burial will be in Maidencreek Cemetery. A viewing will be Saturday morning at 9:00AM to time of service.
