Doris M. Huyett, 93, of Feetwood, passed away January 15, 2013 at Manorcare Health Services, Laureldale. She was the wife of the late Richard B. Huyett who passed in 2004.
Born on April 16, 1919 in Fleetwood she was daughter of the late Harry M. Kummerer and Emeline E. Schwab Kummerer.
She was a 1937 graduate of Fleetwood High School.
Doris was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Fleetwood. Other membership included the Ladies Auxiliary of the Horace Kieffer Post 625 of the American Legion, Fleetwood where she had been a member for 69 years. She also belonged to East Penn Chapter 336 of Eastern Star.
Her interest included gardening, crocheting, knitting and especially doing jigsaw puzzles.
Doris is survived by her children, daughter Lorraine D. (Huyett) widow of Kenneth N. Bingaman of Wyomissing, son Roger L. Huyett, Reading, son Richard A. Huyett widower of Cynthia (Ward) Huyett of Orlando, FL and Janice M. (Huyett) widow of Robert L. Krumanocker of Reading. Other survivors include six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers Melvin Kummerer, Donald Kummerer and William Kummerer.
Funeral Services will be Saturday at 11:00AM at the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc. 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. Burial will be in Fleetwood Cemetery, following services. The family requests memorial contributions can be made in her memory to either the Ladies Auxiliary of the Horace Kieffer Post 625 of the American Legion, 120 East Arch Street, Fleetwood, PA or the Endownment Fund of St. Paul's United Church, of Christ, 5 West Arch St., Fleetwoood, PA.
