Dorothy V. O'Neil, age 87, of Fleetwood, passed away Wednesday September 25, 2013 in Chestnut Knoll, Boyertown. The wife of the late Walter W. O'Neil who passed on August 1, 2009.
Born on January 18, 1926 in Reading. She was the daughter of the late Augustus W. and Mary D. (Eavling) Ott.
Dorothy loved trips to the casinos, bowling and crocheting. She was an avid gardener and loved entertaining her family.
Survived by her daughter Rose M. (Hoyer) DiGuardi of Boyertown. Other survivors are five grandchildren; Don DiGuardi of Navarre, FL Lori Landis fiancé of Steve Bauman of Boyertown, Heather Geissler wife of Gary Geissler of Pottstown, Matthew Hoyer of Oley, Janelle Griffith wife of Adam Griffith of Roswell, GA. Seven great grandchildren Brand, Allyssa, Hunter, Logan, Ashley, Sebastian and Greyson. Also a daughter in law Cherylo Hoyer of Oley. Other survivors include sisters Mable Hoyer of Birdsboro, Marilyn Gray of Reading. A brother Clarence Ott of Reading.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her son Harrison (Sonny) E. Hoyer, Jr., brother Harry Ott and sisters Edna (Ott) Killian and Bertha (Ott) Livingston.
Funeral services will be Monday morning at 11:00 AM from the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. A viewing will be Monday morning from 10:00AM to time of service. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
