Earl R. Fox, age 90, of Fleetwood, passed away on September 20, 2018 in the comfort of hospice care at Penn State Health St. Joseph's Medical Center, Bern Township with his daughter Sandra at his side

He was the husband of the late Dorothy M. (Kirst) Fox who passed on March 30, 2008.

Born in Sinking Spring, he was the son of the late Samuel B. Fox and Sallie M. (Bloch) Fox.

Earl was a graduate of Sinking Spring High School class of 1945. He than joined the U S Navy. After the Navy he worked as a long distance truck driver for sixteen years. He went back to school and graduated from Penn State Police Academy. During this time he was elected Mayor of Sinking Spring in 1962. In 1965 he was hired as police chief for the

Borough of Fleetwood, serving 22 years and retiring in1987.

Earl was a member Berks Lodge 71 Fraternal Order of Police, Temple; Huguenot Lodge No. 377 F&AM, Kutztown and Horace M. Kieffer Post 625 American Legion, Fleetwood. He also had been a long time member of Fleetwood Lions Club.

He is survived by his daughter Sandra J. Fox wife of Richard B. Neuheimer of Fleetwood.
