Earl H. Schaeffer, passed away at Reading Hospital on Friday July 8, 2022. He was living at Berks County Home, Bern Township. He was the husband of the late Eleanor H. (Eckert) Schaeffer, who passed on July 6, 2021, they had been married 57 years. Born on June 14, 1932 in Fleetwood, he was the son of the late James J. Schaeffer and Cora G. (Heist) Schaeffer.

Earl was a graduate of Fleetwood High School in 1950. He worked in the cabinet shop for the former Sneddigers Co. in Fleetwood. A veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U S Army for two years and returned as a corporal. After returning he was hired by Acme Markets, retiring after 30 years as assistant manager. At this time he started his own cabinet shop.

Earl was secretary of New Jerusalem Union Sunday School for 25 years. He also sang on the choir at New Jerusalem U.C.C. for 60 years. Earl's memberships included Kutztown and Lyons Fire Companies, Pike Township Sportsmen's Association, P.O.S.A and the American Legion

He loved to keep his property nice and clean, he always could be found in his cabinet shop.

Earl was predeceased by his brother Harold H. Schaeffer.

Service will be private with burial in New Jerusalem Cemetery.
