Edwin W. Hoffert, age 70, of Ruscombmanor Township, passed away on Saturday October 7, 2017 in Penn State Health St. Joseph's, Reading. He is the husband of Lisa A. (Noll) Hoffert, they celebrated 17 years of marriage on September 2 ^nd .

Born on November 20, 1946 in West Reading, he was the son of the late Floyd D. Hoffert, Sr.  and Violet May (Heister) Hoffert. He was a graduate of Oley Valley High School. Ed was a U. S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam.

He worked for Ream's Auto Service for many years last working November 26, 2016.  Ed loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife Lisa and step children Jamie Miller of Blandon, Chad Miller of Mooresville, NC and Cory Miller of Blandon. Also surviving are his siblings Floyd Hoffert Jr. husband of Kathryn Hoffert, Arthur H. Hoffert, Richard D. Hoffert husband of Brenda Hoffert, Carol N. (Hoffert) wife of Mahlon Wagonhurst. other survivors include 9 nephews and 2 nieces.

Ed was preceded in death by his sister Anna Mae (Hoffert) Blankenbiller.

A viewing will be Friday evening 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm followed by funeral service at 2:00 pm from the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc. 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. Burial will be in St. Paul's Union Cemetery, Fleetwood.
