Elaine J. Burgert, 89, of Fleetwood, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. She was the wife of the late Herman D. Burgert, who preceded her in death in 2002.

Born in Walnuttown, PA, Elaine was the daughter of the late Herbert Miller and Bertha (Boyer) Miller. A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, Elaine was known for her warmth, generosity, and her incredible baking skills. She delighted family and friends with weekly chocolate cakes and traditional fastnachts before Lent. She also enjoyed shopping outings and treasured time spent with loved ones.

Elaine worked at the former Shar-Let Knit Goods, Inc. and Tarsus in Fleetwood during her career.

She is survived by her daughters, Sheila J. (Burgert) Koller, wife of John Koller, and Linda E. (Burgert) Boyer. Elaine was the proud grandmother of five grandchildren: Patrick Koller, Jason Koller, Jessica (Koller) Eckert, Bradley Boyer, and Melissa (Boyer) Adams, as well as seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, June L. (Miller) Derr.

In addition to her husband and parents, Elaine was predeceased by her siblings: Dorothy Sheetz, Helen Camilli, Harold Miller, Merlin Miller, Norman Miller, and Lester Miller.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing at Mae Stump Funeral Home, 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood, PA 19522, on Monday, December 16th, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at St. Paul's Union Cemetery.
