Eleanor M. Wanner, 80, of Fleetwood, peacefully passed away on Wednesday October 4, 2017 in Reading Hospital Medical Center. The wife of Warren W. Wanner, They celebrated 60 years of marriage on April 6 th .
Born on November 15, 1936, in Richmond Township. She was the daughter of the late Augustus F. Stauffer and Evada(Berk) Stauffer.
She was a graduate of Kutztown High School class of 1954. Eleanor was employed by Kutztown – Katos Sportswear, Kutztown from 1954 to 1985. Other employment included Wissahickon Spring Water, Kutztown from 1989 to 1999.
She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Fleetwood and Kutztown Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. For many years she was Camp Fire Leader in Fleetwood.
She was a very loving and devoted mother who loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a very kind personality who never got into an argument and was always willing to help others.Her favorite trip was to the Jersey shore.
Eleanor is survived by her husband Warren and children Sharon K. (Wanner) wife of J. Peter Koller of Fleetwood and Beverly A. (Wanner) wife of Michael Herbein of Exeter Township.
Also five grandchildren and three great grandchildren..
Also surviving are two sisters Lillian R. Berger of Fleetwood and Arline J. Dietrich, Kutztown.
A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00PM and Monday 10:00AM to 11:00AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM in Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Eleanor's memory to the St. Paul's United Church Memorial, 5 West Arch Street, Fleetwood, PA 19522.Viewing
