Elsie M. Schaeffer age 77, formerly of Walnuttown, passed away Friday April 13, 2012 in Berks County Home Berks Heim, Bern Township. She was the wife of James P. Schaeffer. Born in District Township, the daughter of the late LeRoy and Sallie S. (Hilbert) Kline.
She had worked at Klein's Motel in Temple for 22 years.Elsie was a member of the Walnuttown Fire Company and enjoyed watching soap operas, wrestling, and playing the lottery.
She is survived by: husband James, daughters Patricia A. (Yoder) Heister of Hyde Park and Sharon M. (Yoder) Lamp of Lansford, Carbon County. Also six step children; Leroy P. Schaeffer of Santa Anna, CA, Susan J. (Schaeffer) Boyer of Greenfields, Reading, James P. Schaeffer, Jr. of Womelsdorf, Cindy L. (Schaeffer) Kerr of Fleetwood, Karen S. (Schaeffer) Zweizig of Reading and Bruce A. Schaeffer of Fleetwood. Also surviving are brothers: Homer Kline of New Berlin, Charles Kline of Boyertown, Lawayne Kline of Fleetwood, and sisters: Joyce (Kline) Schabrach of Boyertown, Helen (Kline) Greiss of Pottstown, Mamie (Kline) Guinther of Fleetwood. Elsie is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 12 step grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: a son Larry Yoder, a daughter Cindy (Yoder) Rothermel, and a brother Warren Kline.
Services will Tuesday at 11:00 AM from the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. A viewing will be 10:00AM to time of service with burial in Union Cemetery in Bowers. in lieu flowers contributions can be made to Alzheimer's Association.
