Emma M. Manwiller, age 85, of Fleetwood, passed away January 1, 2013 in Reading Hospital Medical Center. The wife of the late Robert E. Manwiller, who passed in 1998.
Born on December 6, 1927 in Kirbyville. She was the daughter of the late William D. Turner and Hettie M. (Herbein) Turner.
Emma with her husband Robert had been the owner's of Manwiller's Sanitation, Fleetwood. She drove one of their trucks for 29 years. Prior she drove a stone truck for Fleetwood building Block, Fleetwood.
With her husband they would restore antique cars and trucks. A member since 1968 of the Ontelaunee Regional Antique Car Club where she served as secretary for many years. She also was a member of Hershey Antique Automoble Club of America since 1971. Other memberships include being the past president of Ruscombmanor Democratic Club and the Ladies Auxillary of Oley Fire Company. She also had been a leader of the Pennsylania Dutch Jiggers, a square dance group.
Survived by four sons: Earl H. Manwiller and wife Sandy of Metztown, Lester R. Manwiller and wife Susan of Fleetwood, Guy F. Manwiller and wife Barbara of Fleetwood, Clair A. Manwiller and wife Diane of Fleetwood. One daughter Kathy A. (Manwiller) wife of Dennis Shollenberger of Mohrsville. Also twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her son Dennis L. Manwiller, sisters Mary, Dorothy and brother William.
