Obituary

Ethel K. Weidner, age 95, formerly of Fleetwood, passed away March 11, 2013 in the Lutheran Home at Topton.. She was the wife of John R. Weidner. On November 23, 2012 they celebrated 73 years of marriage.
Born on February 6, 1918 in New Jerusalem, she was the daughter of the late Cletus Y. DeLong and Lillian R. Knellar DeLong.
Ethel had worked for Lucent Technology, Reading for twenty years. She was a member of Fleetwood Bible Church.
Surviving is her husband John and two children Sylvia D. (Weidner) wife of Jeff Stewart of High Point, NC and Gerald D. Weidner of Fleetwood. Also surviving are three grandchildren Cynthia (Stewart) wife Bill Karr of Lake Dallas, Texas, Jeff Stewart Jr. and his wife Mindi and Shannon Weidner of Savannah, GA. Great grandchildren Caitlin Karr, Cathleen Karr both of Lake Dallas, Texas and Allyn Kaylee Stewart of Pittsburg, Texas. Other survivors include a sister Madeline (DeLong) Miller of Florida.
Ethel was preceded in death by her sisters Erma (DeLong) Weidenhammer and Mae (DeLong) Chickaeus of Florida.
A viewing will be held Friday morning from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mae A Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. A funeral service will follow at 11:00AM. Burial will be in New Jerusalem Cemetery.
