Eva H. Sanders, 92, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025, at The Lutheran Home at Topton, PA. Born on January 30, 1933, in Rockland Township, PA, she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Christina (Henry) Heydt.

Eva graduated from Kutztown High School, Class of 1950. She dedicated 38 years of her career to Dana Corporation in Reading, PA, where she worked diligently in the insurance and pension department.

A devoted member of Christ Mertz Lutheran Church, Eva was also active with the Fleetwood Senior Citizens. She enjoyed spending her time doing jigsaw puzzles, cooking, and baking.

Eva is survived by her children, Randy S. Sanders, Susan J. Smith and husband Mark of Walnuttown, PA, and Joy E. Snyder and husband Steve of Fleetwood, PA; her sister, Ruth (Heydt) Hertzog of Topton, PA; grandchildren Melissa Adams and Gregory Adams; and great-grandchildren Daniel, Dalton, Athena, Saige, Dylan, Blake, and Gavin.

Eva was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Sanders, who passed away on June 6, 2006; her beloved daughter Nancy C. Sanders; grandchildren Jason Smith and Jessica Wilson; and siblings William O. Heydt, Leo Heydt, Carrie (Heydt) Hertzog, and Elwood Heydt.

Family and friends are invited to visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Christ Mertz Lutheran Church, 16 Fleetwood Rd., Fleetwood, PA 19522. Inurnment will take place at Hope Cemetery, Dryville, PA.
