Fern E. Nester, age 81, of Orwigsburg formerly of Fleetwood, passed away on October 14 at Orwigsburg Center.  She was born in Ruscombmanor Township, the daughter of the late Lester M. Noll, Sr. and Minnie H. (Houck) Noll Weidner.

Fern was a collector of anything to do with butterflies. She liked planting flowers, taking care of her house plants and making artificial flower arrangements.  She enjoyed watching TV shows, movies, shopping, going out to eat and making homemade spaghetti sauce.

Prior to her retirement, Fern had worked for the former Garden State Tannery, Inc. in Fleetwood.

She is survived by her children: Paul Nester, of Auburn and Tiffany (Dronick) Fanelli, of Orwigsburg.  Also, three grandchildren: Steven Nester, Danny Nester and Landen Fanelli. Other survivors include her siblings: Raymond L. Noll, Joan M. (Noll) Gordon, Marian P. (Noll) Rauenzahn and Minnie H. (Noll) Hassler.

The family and friends will meet on Sunday October 20th at 2:00 PM at the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc, 117 W. Main Street, Fleetwood and will go in procession to Friedens Cemetery, Main Street Oley for a private graveside  service.
