Gene M. Pieller, 76 of Fleetwood, passed away in his residence on Monday, December 24, 2018. Born in New Jerusalem he was the son of the late Francis G. Pieller and Erma (Henry) Pieller. Gene was a graduate of Kutztown High School class of 1960. He joined the U S Army and served during the Cuban Missile Crises. His was based at a missile launch site in Florida.  After the service he worked in electronic for twenty years with Lucent Technology in Reading till its closing and Parker Corporation for ten years. Gene than was hired by First Quality Retail Services in King of Prussia and worked there till his retirement.

Gene was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed target shooting. A member of the Kutztown Rod & Gun Club, Fleetwood Fish & Game Club and Pike Township Sportsman's Club. Other clubs that he belonged to was the Kutztown Fire Company, Lyons Fire Company and Fleetwood American Legion Post 625.

Gene was very proud of his Pennsylvania Dutch heritage.

Gene is survived by his son Michael G. Pieller of Reno, NV and two grandsons Jarod Pieller and Ian Pieller. He also is survived by many cousins.
