George S. Schlott, 79, of Reading, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at his residence.
He was the husband of Larue F. (Weidner) Hoffman.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late George Schlott and Ethel (Yeager) Schlott.
George had been employed by Crompton & Knowles Dye House, Reading for 32 years, retiring in 1991.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
George enjoyed woodworking and loved watching western movies.
He is survived by his wife, Larue, and three children: George T. Schlott of Norfolk, VA; Faye (Hoffman)
Kowalewski of Wyomissing; and Tracy Hoffman of Mohrsville.
Also surviving are two grandchildren, Kaitlin Kowalewski of Blandon and Vincent Kowalewski IV of Reading.
Services will be private. Burial will be in St. Paul's Union Cemetery.
