Gloria M. (Strohm) Szoke, aged 90, of Fleetwood, peacefully passed away on October 18, 2023, surrounded by her family at ReNew Keystone Villa in Fleetwood. She was the beloved wife of the late Alexander J. Szoke and the daughter of the late Charles K. Strohm and Mabel I. (Moyer) Strohm.

Gloria was a remarkable and supportive wife and mother, dedicated to her family. She was well-known at Crystal Bowl in the Coffee and Doughnut League in Kutztown, where her passion for bowling shone brightly. As a member of the neighborhood card club, she shared many laughs and delicious recipes for desserts. Gloria was an avid reader, a backyard bird watcher, and a self-taught talent in crocheting doilies without following any patterns.

Surviving Gloria are her son Steven C. Szoke and companion Karen Boyer of Fleetwood, Scott A. Szoke, husband of Lorene A. (Miller) Szoke of Wyomissing, and daughter Michele A. (Szoke) Lenhart of Fleetwood. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Emily K. Szoke, Alexander J. Szoke, Jenna N. Szoke, Rachel C. Szoke, Steven P. Lenhart, Gregory M. Lenhart, and two great-grandsons, Ryan D. Texter and Rhys J. Lenhart.

Other survivors include her sister, Donna Lee M. (Rhoads) Stark, and brother-in-law Dan Stark of Allentown. Gloria is also remembered fondly by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother William M. Strohm and sister Gladys M. (Strohm) Heckman.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023, from 10:00-11:00 am at Becker's St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 265 Maidencreek Road, Molltown. A celebration of life will follow, with inurnment at Becker's St. Peters Cemetery.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Asera Care Hospice and all the caregivers at ReNew Keystone Villa in Fleetwood over the last couple of years. It truly takes a special kind of angel to perform their duties so compassionately.
