Gregory J. Zimmerman, 48, of Fleetwood, went to be with the Lord on March 13, 2015 in Milton Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, Pa. He was the loving husband of Danielle R. (Johnson) Zimmerman. They celebrated 5 years of marriage on August 23, 2014.
Born on July 16, 1966, in Allentown, he was the son of Samuel S. Zimmerman and Arlene K. (Martin) Zimmerman of Fleetwood.
Greg had worked for Bowers Sales and Rentals in Bowers for over 3 years. Prior to that he and his father had been co-owners Beaver Creek Excavating. He was a member of Church of God in Christ Mennonite Fleetwood. A devoted family man, he loved spending time with his sons Peter and Ezekiel. His other interests were traveling and driving bus.
Survived by his wife Danielle, sons Peter Max Zimmerman and Ezekiel James Zimmerman. Parents Samuel S. and Arlene K. (martin) Zimmerman. Also surviving are his siblings Janet (Zimmerman) wife of Ted Christiansen of Perrinton, Michigan; Eileen (Zimmerman) wife of Stanley Smith of Fort Sumner, New Mexico; John Zimmerman husband of Cindy Zimmerman of Fleetwood; Kenneth Zimmerman husband of Lori Zimmerman of Fleetwood; Timothy Zimmerman husband of Starla Zimmerman of Fleetwood and Regina (Zimmerman) wife of Michael Smith of Muleshoe, Texas. Other survivors are his father and mother in law Lester Johnson and Pam Johnson of Cumberland, Wisconsin; brother and sister in law Raymond Johnson and Sarah Johnson of Green Bay, Wisconsin and sister in law and brother in law Carla Hogan and Paul Hogan of Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
A viewing will be held Monday evening 5:00 pm to 8:00pm at the Church of Christ in Mennonite, 1077 Richmond Road, Fleetwood. Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 10:00 am in the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
