Harold E. Fegley, age 89, of Rockland Township, passed away on August 16, 2013 in The Lutheran Home at Topton. Husband of Rachael M. (Geist) Fegley. They celebrated 71 years of marriage on January 10th.
Born on February 9, 1924, in Rockland Township. He was the son of the late Heister E. Fegley and Edna K. (Boyer) Fegley.
He was a member of Christ Mertz Lutheran Church, Dryville. Other memberships
Fraternal Order of Eagles, Kutztown for 40 years, order of the Moose lodge 523, Hamburg and Fleetwood Senior Citizens.
The owner of Fegley & Hertzog Welding and Fabricating, Fleetwood for 64 years. Every time he planned to retire customer would ask if he could do one more project. Finally in 2010 he retired at age 86.
Cooking was his hobby and every summer family and friends would be waiting for the picnic that he served snapper soup. He usually made thirty gallons at a time.
Survived by his wife Rachael and son Terry L. Fegley husband of Joyce Fegley of Fleetwood. Two grand son's Keith Lee Fegley and David Elton Fegley and great granddaughter Melissa. K. Fegley. Also surviving is a sister Alma M. (Fegley) Hertzog of Kutztown
A viewing will be held Wednesday morning from 10:00AM to 11:00AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00AM from Christ Mertz Lutheran Church., 16 Fleetwood Road, Fleetwood. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Dryville.
