Harold R. Kramer, 92, of Fleetwood passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, at Hearthstone at Amity, Douglassville.
He was the husband of the late Eleanor A. (Kniss) Kramer, who passed Dec. 28, 2002.
Born in Rockland Township on March 12, 1919, he was the son of the late Henry E. Kramer and Annie (Noll) Kramer.
He was a member of Christ Mertz Lutheran Church, Dryville.
Harold was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Horace Kieffer American Legion Post 625, Fleetwood.
Harold was a partner in the construction firm of Kramer and Shade from 1956 to 1974.
In 1974 he started the firm Kramer General Contracting.
Some of the construction projects were: the 1964 addition to the Laurel Nursing Home, Tilden Township;
the Kempton Elementary School; the Washington Township Elementary School; the addition to the Shoemakersville Elementary School; and the Special Education Building at Kutztown University.
He is survived by his children: Gary M. Kramer, Perry Township; Donna L. (Kramer) Ebeling, Oley; and Douglas A. Kramer, Fleetwood.
Also surviving are grandchildren: Karen D. Pang, Kelly S. Kramer, Shannon L. Sunday, Stephanie Krick, Erin Martin and Andrew Kramer; and two great-grandchildren, Emma Pang and Calli Martin.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joan S. (Kramer) Fegley, and son, Dean Kramer.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, at Christ Mertz Lutheran Church, 16 Fleetwood Road, Fleetwood.
A viewing will be from Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home Inc., Fleetwood, and 10 a.m. to time of service at the church.
Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Dryville.
