Helen M. Readinger, age 92, formerly of Rockland Township, passed away in Mifflin Center, Shillington on Thursday October 13, 2016. She was the wife of the late A. Wayne Readinger who passed on December 10, 2013.
Helen was born in Ruscombmanor Township the daughter of the late Walter S. Deisher and Alice Brown Deisher.
A graduate of Fleetwood High School class of 1942. She was a member of Fleetwood Grange #1839 and served in the office CERES for the National Grange from 1970 to 1974. Helen was a long time member of Christ Mertz Lutheran Church, Dryville
Helen with her husband had been owners of Readinger's Orchard in Rockland Township.
Survived by her daughter's Anna L. (Readinger) wife of Daryl Miller of Garnet Valley, PA. and Doris Ann (Readinger) wife of Jay Willard of Reading. She also has four grandchildren , ten great grandchildren, five step grandchildren, ten step great grandchildren and thirteen step great great grandchildren. Other survivors include many nieces and nephews. Helen was preceded in death by her daughter Jean E. (Readinger) Reinholz.
Memorial services will be Saturday October 22nd at 11:00 AM from Christ Mertz Lutheran Church, 16 Fleetwood Road, Fleetwood. A visitation with her family will be 9:30 to 11:00 at the church.
