Henry L. Schoedler, age 99, formerly of Bowers, passed away March 22, 2014 in the Reading Hospital Medical Center. He resided in Kutztown Manor since Ocotober of 2007.

He was husband of the late Effie (Loch) Schoedler who passed on May 19, 2009.

Henry was born on July 7, 1914 in Fleetwood, he was the son of the late John B. Schoedler and Florence K. (Weidenhammer) Schoedler.

He was a member of Christ Delong United Church of Christ, Bowers. Where he and his wife Effie served as sextons for 40 years.

Henry had worked at F. M. Browns in Fleetwood for 29 years retiring in 1980. Other work included 19 years at the former Fleetwood Dairy.

Survived by his children Ruth E. (Schoedler) Youse, widow of Jay L. Youse of Topton, Robert H. Schoedler husband of Beverly Schoedler, of Maxatawny Township, and David B. Schoedler, widower of Linda Schoedler, Birdsboro. Also grandchildren Gary, Daryl, Toby and Todd and great grandchildren Kara, Julia, Khoty, Kylie, Makenna, Todd, Jr., Rylie and Mia. Also his favorite beagle Molly. He was preceded in death by his brother J. Lester Schoedler.

Memorial service will be Friday March 28th at 11:00AM in Christ Delong United Church of Christ, 63 Old Bowers Road, Bowers. A family visitation will take place at 10:00AM to time of service in the church. Inurnment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Kutzton.
