Howard "Hoppy" Clinton Miller, 59, of Fleetwood, PA, passed away on February 25, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital Bethlehem after complications from a stroke.
Hoppy attended Fleetwood Area High School before pursuing a lifelong career in the automotive industry. He owned and operated KMK Garage in Fleetwood for 28 years, known for his skill and dedication to his work. He was also a talented demolition derby car builder and competitor, specializing in the "small car" division whenever he got behind the wheel. Beyond cars, Hoppy and Kim spent 20 years rescuing pigs, giving them a second chance at a good life.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years Kimberly C. Miller; father, Howard C. Miller Jr.; daughter, Kory Moore (husband Benjamin) of Fleetwood; son, Tyler Miller (wife Morgan) of Leesport; and his five grandchildren—Brody, Elizabeth, Kara, Elaina, and Ellora. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Kercher (wife Donna); sister, Tammy Miller; and brother, Scott Miller.
He was predeceased by his mother, Joanne Smith; brother, Barry Kercher; and sister, Darlene Miller.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 6:00-8:00pm, at Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 W. Main St., Fleetwood, PA. Another viewing will be Friday March 7th from 10:00 to 11:00 AM followed by a time of remembrance at 11:00am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Berks County Memorial Gardens, 201 Evansville Rd, Fleetwood, PA.
