Jack S. Englehart, 89, of Fleetwood, passed away on November 13, 2014 in Reading Hospital. He was the husband of the late Mary D. (Ferguson) Englehart who passed on January 29, 1999.
Born on October 3, 1925, in Reading, he was the son of the late Stanley J. Englehart and Leah H. (Robinson) Englehart. He was a 1944 graduate of West Reading High School. After high school he joined the U S Navy serving during World War II from 1944 to 1946. He last served on the USS Mount McKinley.
He had worked for East Penn Manufacturing for 23 years retiring in 2002
Jack was an avid reader of history books and loved tracing his genology. Other interest included traveling to Hawaii and model railroading.
Survived by his children Jason S. Englehart husband of Joanne Englehart of Kutztown, Dean E. Englehart husband of Judith A. Englehart of Fleetwood, Joni M. (Englehart) Guerra of Hamburg and Donvan S. Kauffman of Coos Bay, Organ. Other suvivors include grandchildren Kelly, Krystal, Jocelyn, Joy, Tony, Kimberly, Johnny and great grandson Benjamin. Also sister Nancy (Englehart) Aulenbach of Muhlenberg.
Funeral service will be Friday November 21st at 11:00 am from Mae A. Stump Funeral home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. A viewing will be Thursday evening 7:00pm to 8:30pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Kutztown.
