Jacob Thomas Hitt, 24, of Lomira, WI, formerly of Fleetwood, passed away suddenly following a brief illness on Saturday, January 16, 2021, with his immediate family by his side.
Born on October 6, 1996, in Reading, he was the son of Erin L. Hitt, Jr. and Diane (Arndt) wife of John Smith.
Jake graduated from Oley Valley High School and BCTC East in automotive collision repair in 2015. He attended Muhlenberg School District from Kindergarten through 8th grade. He worked for Flagger Force and most recently found enjoyment in a new opportunity employed by Michels Corporation, Wisconsin.
Jake loved to spend his free time with family and friends while fishing, bowling, gaming, VW's, making people laugh, and telling jokes and stories. He had a heart of gold and an unforgettable smile.
In addition to his parents, Jake is survived by his brother, Nicholas E. Hitt, paternal grandmother, Anita Lucas, maternal grandfather, Abner "Butch" Arndt, and step-siblings Matthew Smith and Katie Tran. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Linda Arndt.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 30th, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Mae Stump Funeral Home, 117 W. Main St., Fleetwood. Memorial service at 2:00 pm which will also be livestreamed on Zoom at this link . Graveside inurnment to follow in St. Paul's Union Cemetery, Fleetwood.
