Jane Ruth (Sanders) Mathias, age 92, formerly of Rockland Township passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family in her son's home in Tilden Township, on Wednesday, July 26th, 2023.  Jane was married to her loving husband Stuart L. Mathias.  Born in Rockland Township, Jane was the daughter of the late Ernest Scott Sanders and Pearl Emma (Kieffer) Sanders.

Jane retired after 25 years as an elementary teacher at Brandywine Area School District. She was a member of the Seventh–day Adventist Church, Fleetwood, where she was a beloved Sabbath School teacher and was involved in community outreach.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. What a blessing and gift to have a God–fearing, loving mother.  She is another reason to look forward to Christ's soon return.
Jane is survived by her husband Stuart; son Stuart Alan Mathias, husband of Barbara Mathias. Jane has three grandchildren: Kayla Mathias Johns, Jared Mathias, and Brennan Mathias.
Funeral services will be private, with burial in Hope Cemetery, Dryville
