Born on September 30, 1933 in Blandon the daughter of the late Samuel Keim and Esther (Kline) Keim..

Janet attended Fleetwood High School and was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ Fleetwood.

She worked in retail sales all her life for the former Nicholas Department Store, Reading, Kings Department Store, Reading Unique Pretzels, Reading and last working for Chuck Wagon Soda in Blandon.

Janet was a member of The Red Hat Society, Fleetwood Senior Citizens and Blandon Senior Citizens.

She loved to travel to Myrtle Beach, SC and to Colorado to visit her family. Her other interest was shopping, and especially going to Walmart's.

Janet is survived by her husband Fred and children Terry L. Schaeffer of Fleetwood; Robert E. Schaeffer and his companion Micky Monger of New Castle, CO.; Yvonne K. (Schaeffer) wife of Anthony Askey of Palm Harbor, FL; Karl D. Schaeffer husband of Michelle Schaeffer of Leesport, and Cheryl D. (Schaeffer) wife of Mike Reasoner of Denver, CO. There are eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Also two step children David Williams of Delaware and Debbie Williams of New Jersey. Other survivors are silblings Barbara (Keim) Faust of Fleetwood and Dennis Keim =, Sr. and companion Shirley Lance of Fleetwood. Janet was preceded in death by sister Doris (Keim) Fenstermacher, brothers Russell Kline and Donald Keim.

Funeral services will be private.
