Jeanne A. (Stauffer) Reese, age 90, of Reading, formerly of Boyertown, passed away peacefully following a brief illness on Wednesday November 2nd in Penn State Health St. Joseph's Medical Center, Bern Township.
She was recently a resident of Rittenhouse Village at Muhlenberg.
Born in Pottstown, on October 26, 1926, Jeanne was the oldest of four children born at home to the late Raymond A. Stauffer and Ruth (Bitler) Stauffer.
Jeanne graduated from Pottstown High School in 1944.
Prior to being a homemaker, she was a cosmetologist in Philadelphia and modeled for Wannamaker's department store
Survived by her children: Ronald P. Reese, husband of Susan Reese of Robensonia; Elizabeth A. (Reese), wife of Dr. J. Clair Hess of Lancaster, and Cynthia R. (Reese), wife of Charles Seeburger, MSG (Ret) of Hope Mills, NC.
Other survivors include five grandchildren: Rebecca, wife of Cary Swist, Amy, Jennifer, Brittany, wife of Neftali Torres, Nicholas and two great grandchildren, Makenna and Gabriel.
Also surviving is a brother Richard Stauffer husband of Jeanette Stauffer, of Pottstown.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Reese; grandson, James Reese; brother Raymond Stauffer; and sister, Betty Ruth Stauffer; and step-daughter, Margaret"Peggy" Reese-Mirenda.
A viewing will be held Saturday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. Followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. with Rev.
