Surrounded by family, Joan Mary (Lewis) Zeiber, 82, passed away on March 15th at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Bernville, PA.

Joan, the daughter of John and Hazel Lewis, was a 1959 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School. She worked for 20 years as a Purchasing Agent at Garden State Tannery in both Fleetwood and Reading, PA. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends, and especially cooking for them. She was a master gardener and enjoyed travel, especially spending time in Positano, Italy and San Francisco, California.

The widow of Larry L. Zeiber, Sr., Joan was predeceased by her beloved daughter Deirdre Reiter Bowers. She is survived by sons Gregory Reiter and wife Veronica Fusaro (Vero Beach, Fl), and Larry L. Zeiber, Jr., married to Cary Kaplan (Rancho Mirage, CA), as well as two grandsons Caleb Bowers and Jared Bowers. She is also survived by brother John R. Lewis and 15 nieces and nephews.

Joan was the superglue of the family, keeping relatives living coast to coast connected with one another. She will be remembered for her memorable cooking and baking, her kindness towards others, and her wonderful sense of humor followed by an infectious laugh.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. – 11 a.m. with a memorial service beginning at 11 a.m. at the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, 117 W. Main Street, Fleetwood, PA. Online condolences may be made at MaeStumpFuneralHome.com.
