John J. Cook

 John James Cook, 87, of Lenhartsville, passed away on December 5, 2025 at Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA. Born on July 20, 1938 in Sellersville, PA, he was the son of the late John Cook and Kathryn (Szaley) Cook.

 John was a 1956 graduate of Penn Ridge High School. Shortly after graduating, he proudly served in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1959. Following his service, he built a long career in maintenance with East Penn Manufacturing, where he worked from 1979 until his retirement in 2007.

 John enjoyed spending time outdoors and took great pride in tending both his vegetable and flower gardens.

 He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannette L. (Sauers) Cook, who passed on June 25, 2007.

 John is survived by his daughter, Kimberly A. Richards; sisters, Joanne K. Bucks and Diane J. Thomas; grandchildren, Zachery J. Lugo and Joseph T. Lugo; and great-grandson, Bryson Tylor Lugo.

 A memorial service will take place 12:00 PM Saturday December 13, 2025 at the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, Inc. Followed by an inurnment at New Bethel Union Cemetery, Kempton, PA.
