Joseph H. Harris, Jr., 65, of Blandon, passed away on Monday February 2, 2015 in his residence. He was the husband of Rosemary (Kokinda) Harris. They celebrated their 41st anniversary on August 4th.
Born on June 2, 1949 in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Joseph H. Harris, Sr. and Jean B. (Reimiller) Harris.
Joseph was a 1967 graduate from Hazleton High School. A U. S. Air Force veteran of Vietnam serving from 1968 to 1972.
He had worked for the former Plymouth Tube in Horsham and Superior Tube, Collegeville for many years.
Joseph was a member of Faith Bible Fellowship Church in Fleetwood where he played keyboard in the worship band. He also was a member of the Fleetwood Fish and Game Association. His other passion was playing golf.
Survived by his wife Rosemary and son Jason R. Harris, of New Orleans.
Other survivors included his siblings George Harris of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, Cheryl (Harris) Moyer of Pardeesville, PA and Leonard Harris of Green Lane, PA. He was preceded in death by his sister Jeanne (Harris) Gensel.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday February 7th from Faith Bible Fellowship Church, 236 South Richmond Street, Fleetwood. A viewing will be from 11:00AM to time of service. In Lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Faith Bible Fellowship Church or charity of choice
