Joseph Metroka, age 83, of Pine Grove, formerly of Fleetwood, passed away on Monday September 10, 2012 in his residence at Schoolyard Square, Pine Grove.
He was the husband of the late Jean E. (Gordon) Metroka who passed on October 24, 2004.
Born in St. Clair, Schuylkill County. the son of the late Charles and Mary Metroka.
Joseph was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ of Fleetwood and also a member of the Horace Kieffer Post #625 of American Legion in Fleetwood.
He last worked for Tarsus, Inc. Fleetwood, for many years.
Joseph is survived by his sons Robert H. Wentzel Allentown and Ronald G. Wentzel of Sheomakersville. Also a brother Michael Metroka husband of Josephine Metroka, Chalfont, PA. Three grandchildren Jay, Joshua and Micah.
Other survivors are brother in law James Feeney.
He was preceded in death by sisters Elizabeth Smulktis, Mary Feeney, Helen Metroka and Jeanette Metroka. Brothers Charles Metroka and Stephen Metroka.
Viewing will be Thursday from 9:30AM to 11:00AM from the Mae A. Stump Funeral Home, 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM. Burial will be in Spies Zion Cemetery, Alsace Township. Contributions can be made to either St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 5 West Arch Street, Fleetwood or Horace Kieffer Post 625. East Arch Street, Fleetwood.
