Julia B. Boyer, age 94, of Boyer's Junction, passed away on Sunday afternoon February 25, 2018 in Select Specialty Hospital, Camp Hill, PA. She was the wife of the late Elwood K. "Woody" Boyer who passed on November 23, 1992.  Born on March 24, 1923 in Rockland Township, the daughter of the late Clarence C. Stitzer and Mary E. (Gieger) Stitzer.

Julia was a 1941 graduate of Fleetwood High School.

She was a long time faithful member of the former New Jerusalem United Church of Christ in New Jerusalem. Where she served in the Ladies Aids and Sunshine Society Other memberships included Fleetwood Grange, Fleetwood and Pricetown Senior Citizens.

In 1946 Julia and her husband Woody opened Boyer's Market in Boyer's Junction and for the next 66 years till selling in 2012, During that time in 1970 a fourteen year old boy Jerry Keller started working for the couple and in 1979 he became a co-owner allowing Julia, Woody and daughter Patsy to spend part of winter in Florida and summer at Patty's Patch in Delaware.

Julia loved knitting and crocheting and made prayer shawls for church and baby caps and blankets which she gave away. She also enjoyed planting flower beds and gardening.

She is survived by her sister Doris E. (Stitzer) Noll of Blandon. Three nephews and a beloved niece Judith (Noll) wife of Michael Dietrich. Also several great nieces and nephews as well as great great nieces and nephews.

Julia was preceded in death by her husband Elwood and daughter Patricia L. Boyer on January 15, 2007.

A viewing will be Saturday morning March 3rd from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by funeral service at 11:00AM with Rev. Corrine R. Dautrich officiating. Services from the Mae A. Stump Funeral home, Inc., 117 West Main Street, Fleetwood. Burial will follow in New Jerusalem Cemetery, New Jerusalem.
